According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the New York Yankees will be calling up minor-league right-hander Joba Chamberlain within the next 48 hours. The 21-year old is 9-2 with a 2.45 ERA in the minors this season. He has also struck out 135 in 88.1 innings. Chamberlain will most likely assume a relief role with the Yankees. There is no word yet on who New York will be sending down. A potential candidate is right-hander Jeff Karstens.
